Training Program on First-Aid & Occupational Safety
Training program on First-aid & Occupational Safety was organised by CKP Chamber of Commerce & Industry on 27th March 2024 at CKP Hall Thane The Guest Speaker was Dr. Manjit Singh Arora, a highly qualified medical professional from Fortis Group of Hospitals.
After the introduction formalities, the Guest Speaker Dr. Manjit proceeded to narrate in detail, how to identify a situation when someone passes out, whether in office or in factory or at home.
He then explained how to deal with a person
* Who has suffered a stroke.
* who has suffered a heart attack.
* what are the precautions to be taken, in addition to what are the things to avoid at this time.
All this was explained in lucid and humours manner.
He also explained how to assist Burn Victims, before taking them to hospital. And now comes the climax of the session. The doctor then practically demonstrated the technique of CPR on the mannequin like plastic human model that he had brought with him. Not only that , he showed all the actions on live models from spectators , then to top it all , called volunteers and make them perform CPR under his guidance , for full understanding of the subject. He kept us spell bound for about 2 hours or so and when his session was over, he was accorded a Standing Ovation by one and all.

CCCI Award Ceremony
To encourage its members and to attract the outsiders CCCI awards in as many as 13 Categories were presented to various Entrepreneurs, some for the members and some from General Non-Members. The Awards were presented by the then Industry Minister Mr. Subhash Desai who appreciated the activities of the organization and efforts taken by the small entrepreneurs.
CCCI Nagpur Conclave 2020
To spread the membership base, CCCI organized One day Business conclave and Awards for Innovative businessmen, technology driven start ups entrepreneurs under the auspicious presence of Retd Air Chief Marshal Ajay Tipnis. Air Port Procurement depot is in Nagpur. Guidance was provided by the Chief of the depot to the MSME for getting Vendor Registration for Defense procurement. 15 Entrepreneurs were felicitated in the conclave.
CCD and You
In the year 2019 we came across a very shocking news of suicide by high profile industrialist, the owner of Café Coffee Day. There were varied guesses about the reasons those may have compelled Mr V G Siddharth to take this extreme step. CCCI held an Open session with the renowned Psychiatrist Dr Anand Nadkarni to analyze various conditions causing Stress to the Businessman vis a vis a common salaried person. The session was attended by more than 250 entrepreneurs and Dr Nadkarni unfolded various layers of human mind, especially for the Small businessmen. He also provided guidance to overcome the stress and if possible not to get in the trap of Stress. It was a very useful session conducted by CCCI for businessmen in every stage of their life and business.
GST AWARENESS PROGRAMS
The year 2017 saw a revolutionary change in Indirect taxes. Around 25 different indirect taxes were repealed and one consolidated Goods and Service Tax was implemented. CCCI being an organization of Small and Medium scale businesses, decided to educate its members about GST in a very unique way. It created 10 groups of 10 to 15 entrepreneurs each and explained the working of GST, tax calculations, benefits of GST and what modifications the businessmen need to carry in his accounting policies to get maximum benefits from the GST Input tax credit provisions. It can be claimed that GST Awareness program of this type was not conducted by any chamber or Trade Association.
CSR Activities
To recognize the social responsibility CCCI supported a unique project of “Blossom” Trust. The Trust has adopted one village Saprewadi, near Igatpuri, in Nasik District. It is carrying on activities of providing market to the home made products from this village. It also supports the Government School in the village. In Oct 2019, CCCI supplied around 125 Cashew Saplings to the villagers and got them planted immediately under the supervision of Agricultural Professionals. it is expected that these saplings will provide good yield in next 4 to 5 years.
CCCI – IIM Certification Course
For developing Management skills among the new entrepreneurs two days course was organized with IIM Kolkatta at a very reasonable cost. As many as 30 businessmen and Students were benefitted by it. This activity was conducted in the first year of the Chambers.
Supporting MSME through MSMED
The MSME Department has always been supportive to CCCI and with their support CCCI members could participate in VENDEX 2018 and VENDEX 2019. Many members of CCCI could put up their stalls in the exhibitions organized by MSME at Navi Mumbai. The long term benefits that the members get through participations in such National level exhibitions cannot be counted in terms of money. CCCI provided technical support to its members in designing their stalls, communications with the visitors and presentation skills required during the exhibitions.
BUSINESS JATRA
CCCI also booked space in the exhibition organized by LakshyaVedh, a Leading business promotional organization where its members could display their products in B2B segments at a very insignificant cost. Entire cost of the stalls was borne by CCCI and members had only to spend for the display. Exposure that the members get through such participations in the exhibitions cannot be evaluated in terms of Money alone.
